Paris and the united-states: the birth of two sister republics
Step into the streets of Paris and see where the stories of two republics began to echo each other. Here, in the 18th century, American revolutionaries and French thinkers traded ideas about liberty, rights and self‑government.
This walking tour gives you a clear mental map of how the young American Republic and the future French Republic inspired one another, following a coherent route through the historic center where their paths literally crossed.
